Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment - Day Eight

**This post was transferred from the now defunct "The Long Ease" blog.**

Treatment Day:  8

Arrival Time at Lutheran Hospital Wound Healing Center:  7:55am

Appointment Time:  8:30am

Treatment actually started: About 8:05am (Doctor was early!)

Notable things about self today:  Sinuses seem SLIGHTLY less effed up.  Might actually be kicking this whatever-it-is.  Finally.

Miscellaneous:  I got the janky gown with the town sleeves for the second time today.  I have to assume they were cut to accommodate the massive arms of one of the dreadfully obese people I often see in the waiting room.  Still.  I feel like they should save that shitty shit for those people again.  I have regular arms.

Treatment length:  2.5 hours

Physical things noted during treatment:  Definite noticeable twinges of pain in the bladder area.  (These continued throughout the day.  Still happening now.)

Things happening on HGTV today:  Marathon of "Buying and Selling (with the Property Brothers)".  This is a show where, apparently, people not only want to move, but stress themselves the fuck out in the process by attempting to renovate and stage the house they're trying to sell in 10 days while also looking for and buying a NEW house during that same 10 days, with the assistance of brothers Drew (the realtor) and Jonathan (the renovator).

Espiodes watched:
1. Scott and Crystal are having trouble selling their house full of oversized furniture.  Maybe it has to do with their PET CHICKEN, Vivian.  I swear, these people on these shows cannot be real.  Crystal is obsessed with, go figure, giant crystal chandeliers.  The house hunt and renovations are exhausting them.  Oh, sigh.
2. Zane and Marie are offended that their beige house full of beige furniture gets described as being "Meh."  But it is very meh.  And guess what.  The house hunt and renovations are exhausting them, too.  Can you believe it?
3. I forget their names, but the show kept referring to them as "quirky accountants". Their weird green house is too full of crap to sell and they are expecting to get about $50k more than Drew thinks they can.  The kitchen is so small, they keep most of their appliances in the garage.  I did not get to see how this one ended because my "dive" was over before it was.  Darn.

Things I thought about other than TV:  I thought about the pelvic pain.  Tried to focus on it and send it healing light and energy - the way I used to do during the radiation treatments (the ones that probably caused this garbage while curing me of cancer).

Most difficult moment:  Just the pain, really.  No other troubles.

Time Left Lutheran Hospital: 11:10am

Arrival Time at Work:  11:45am.

Reason for delay:  I've been failing at eating lunch with these treatments and the whole less-time-at-work thing.  So I stopped at Penn Station and got myself a sandwich.

Noteworthy After-Effects:  Just the pelvic pain.  Mostly right side, lower abdomen.  Stabby.

Treatments Left:  32

Number of times I had to pee between end of treatment yesterday and leaving for the treatment this morning:  6 (Surprising, considering the volume of water I consumed yesterday.)

Sorry this one wasn't too exciting.

Xxo, Phoebe Marie
